Our Mission
Island Impact Ministries is a U.S. registered, 501(c) non-profit organization, established in 2003. Our Christian faith compels us to spread the good news of the Gospel to the poor. We believe that "faith without works is dead" so we share our faith by helping others in need by providing them with much-needed medical, food and housing assistance to the people of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. These goals are accomplished through our local medical clinics, and hosting visiting teams and the generous donations of ordinary people.
Founders & Directors
Rob and Kelli Nelson bring over 35 years of combined experience serving on the Island of Hispaniola, spanning Haiti and the Dominican Republic, through Christian faith-based humanitarian initiatives and within the healthcare systems of these countries. Rob is an ordained minister affiliated with the Assemblies of God, while Kelli is a certified Nurse Practitioner with experience both abroad and in the USA.
