Dr. David Livingstone
Providing medical care to the people of the Dominican Republic has been an important part of this community for many years.
We gladly accept donations of any amount from people, businesses and churches and use them to fight disease. We purchase medicines in the local pharmacies, and pay our national staff, as well as the cost to operate a clinic.
Help us connect donors with people in need.
Every team of volunteers we mobilize, makes a real and lasting difference. Join us on a short-term mission trip and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on change.
Since 2005, American doctors and nurses have provided free surgical procedures such as Cataract & Strabismus, OB/GYN, Ortho, and Breast Cancer in the Dominican Republic. We are turning the tide on Breast Cancer in the country and changing many lives!
Our national staff in the Dominican Republic, regularly serve their local community by providing free Mobile Clinics in the rural areas including the squalid Haitian migrant camps, such as Munoz, Loma Bajita and La Cienaga. These mobile clinics are held once per month in each village, and the people receive a free consultation, and medicine. The clinics are setup in churches and the local pastor is there to give spiritual support to the sick.
